Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by Center for Skills & Interventions, Inc. (“CSI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at skillsinterventions.com and any pages that link to these Terms (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree that you have read, understood, and will be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1) Who May Use the Site

You must be at least 18 years old – or the age of majority in your jurisdiction – and have the authority to agree to these Terms. You may not use the Site where prohibited by applicable law.

2) Informational and Educational Use

The Site provides information about CSI’s educational and skills-based programs, resources, and related content. CSI does not provide medical, psychological, or psychotherapeutic care through the Site. Nothing on the Site is medical or mental health advice.

3) Accounts, Purchases, and Billing

Some features may allow inquiries, bookings, or purchases. When you commit to purchase and complete checkout (if offered), you enter a binding agreement for that transaction. Prices, taxes, and fees are shown at checkout and may change at any time to correct errors or reflect updates. Recurring charges – if applicable – will bill to your selected payment method per the interval shown at purchase.

We may change or discontinue the Site or any feature at any time – with or without notice – and we may suspend or terminate access for any reason.

Note: Your program enrollment, cancellation, refunds, attendance rules, and consent forms are governed by the signed agreements and policies in our client portal (e.g., SimplePractice) – not by these public Terms.

4) Intellectual Property

The Site and all materials on it – including text, graphics, logos, videos, audio, images, program materials, worksheets, and designs – are owned by CSI or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to view the Site for personal, non-commercial use, no rights are granted. You may not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, or exploit the materials without our prior written permission.

If you upload or submit content (e.g., comments on a blog), you represent you own or have rights to it and grant CSI a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute it in connection with the Site. Public activity may be visible to other visitors. You can opt-out by not using community features.

5) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Interfere with or disrupt the Site or servers
   

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
   

• Post unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or harmful content
   

• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
   

• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or index the Site except as allowed by robots.txt
   

• Reproduce or resell the Site or content except as expressly permitted
   

We may remove content or restrict access at our discretion.

6) Third-Party Services and Links

The Site may integrate third-party services (e.g., hosting, payment processors) or link to external websites. Those services and sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, security, or practices.

7) No Warranties

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, CSI disclaims all warranties – express or implied – including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, current, or free of harmful components.

8) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CSI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or equitable damages (including lost profits, data loss, goodwill, or service interruption) arising from or related to your use of – or inability to use – the Site. Our aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to access fee-based features of the Site, if any, in the three months preceding the claim.

9) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CSI and our officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Site, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10) Communications

By providing contact information, you consent to receiving service and promotional messages via the methods you provide (e.g., email, SMS). You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by following the instructions in the message or emailing care@skillsinterventions.com.

11) Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it. Please review it carefully.

12) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.

13) Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
